It’s official. I hate Kobe Bryant

I was watching the Lakers play the Timberwolves today and noticed that Kobe was not wearing his coveted number 8. After being dumbfounded for awhile I decided to search the Internet on why he was wearing a 24 jersey. To my own shock the reason he changed his number was to create more revenue for himself as if his $15 million a year contract was not enough for him. Those suckers that own a number 8 jersey will now have to fork out more money for his number 24 jersey. If you want to honor your hero Kobe Bryant make lots of room in your closet. The bottom line: Kobe will be rich and you’ll be poor. More accurately, Kobe will be more obscenely rich than he already is.

From ESPN.com:
Give me two truths people refuse to accept.
1. Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA until LeBron starts playing defense consistently. Yes, I know King James led the league in steals, but playing passing lanes and individual D are two different things. The only reason Kobe didn’t win MVP is because most sportswriters are men, and to them, Kobe’s tattle-telling on Shaq was an unforgivable violation of a dearly held Man Law: Never snitch on your boy.

How many rookies do you know who’ve done any of this?… (Hint… Not Kobe)
- scored 25 points in their first NBA game?
- averaged at least 20 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds their entire season?
(Michael Jordan, Oscar Robinson and… Lebron James – Great company huh?)
- earned $90 million in endorsements before they’d ever touched an NBA ball?
- was the youngest player to ever receive the Rookie of The Year Award?
- scored 41 points AND dished out 13 assists during the same game?
