Halong Bay Day 2

by tandurq on Mar.08, 2008, under Travel

The cruise back to the city was nice. I met some fellow Americans and some others from Chile, Spain and Malaysia. The Malaysian man was named Javson Lee. He is traveling south to Saigon as well and will most likely meet up with us again in Hue. He has been traveling through Asia for about 7 months now. He runs a Malaysian restaurant in Dublin, Ireland. Pretty funny guy. Anyways were headed to Hanoi to catch our flight back to Hue.

Diarrhea is a bitch! Today was the worst case I’ve ever had. I probably went to the bathroom about 10 times. I wish I had brought some Immodium AD with me. It might have been all the fried food we had on the boat, the coffee I’ve been drinking or the water/ice that doesn’t come in a bottle. Either way its not pretty and I am constantly trying to find fresh fruit to eat but its been hard as most vendors here only sell noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The flight to Hanoi was a quick hour. Immediately as we got back to Hue I checked into the hotel that Su worked for. I didn’t want to stay at my Uncle’s because our bus leaves at 8:30 am and I didn’t want to wake them up. I went to grab my stuff from their place and immediately went back to the hotel for some sleep before the early departure.
