So I started using Skype at work and now I’m using at home. If you haven’t heard of it check out their website http://www.skype.com/ Basically in a nutshell Skype is a little piece of software that lets you make free calls to anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world. With a good mic headset the quality is as good as a normal phone line. For an extra $30 you can call anyone in the US or Canada for an entire year free. I just want to vent my frustration for Microsoft being such a crappy company. I spent half the day at work today trying to figure out why stuff works in IE7 and doesn’t work in Mozilla Firefox. I’ve come to the conclusion that Microsoft is to blame because they are so full of shit. They do things beyond the standards of web development because they’re too godlike to conform to common practices. So now I have to create two seperate stylesheets forÂ everyone of my pages because Microsoft is a POS.Â Thanks Bill Gates!Â Â

Displaying camera settings in PHP

I figured out how to display camera settings in PHPÂ ( eg. Camera make, model, shutter speed, aperture, etc.) PHP has a buit in function called exif_read_data(). Click here to see available EXIF tags –> 100_0755.jpg To display the tags in PHP is easy.

Insert this statement
Â Â Â Â $exif = exif_read_data($filename, 0, true);
Then print your selected tag
Â Â Â Â echo @exif['IFD0']['Make'];

Spent half the day today messing around with PHP, CSS, HTML and MySQL. I finally got the comments working and looking somewhat decent in my photo gallery. Feel free to add comments to any pictures you think are interesting. It’s about 2 a.m. I think I’m going to crash now. I’ll update the galleries sometime this week with more pictures.

Server speed is slow today
