Photo of the month is Nhi To’s dinner. This guy was pretty camera shy at first. After falling into the sink numerous times I was able to catch this guy holding still. Check out the before and after picture

Photo of the month for January is a sunset shot I took down in Pismo right next to the pier. Using my 16-35mm F/2.8 lens on the 5D is a blast. Super wide angle on a full frame camera is awesome. This would be comparable to a 10-22mm on a cropped sensored camera (eg. Xti, 30, 40d).

To keep myself serious about photography I’ll being posting photos monthly of new and old material.

The first photo I took was at the Monterey Sports Car Championship last month. We were walking around the paddock areas and checked out the old Mazda racing cars. The car shown I believe is an ‘84 Mazda RX-7.

I finally had time this weekend to go through some of the photos that I took when we went to Whitney. I thought it would be cool to experiment cloning myself. With photoshop I was able to produce a decent picture. It took me about an hour to mask and crop.

Finally have all my stuff setup at the new place. Found some time tonight to post the pictures I took at the wedding. Hope everyone likes them

I wanted to test out Yong’s new Canon 70-200mm F4L IS lens so I decided what better to do it than at the Bay to Breakers. We got to Golden Gate park around 10 a.m. just in time to catch most of the walkers finishing the 10K. The lens was amazing. I liked it so much I ended up purchasing one for myself. All I have to do now is give up a kidney to pay it off Check out the sample pics here

I took this picture as I was roaming downtown Monterey last year during Labor Day. There were too many colors in the background so I wanted to isolate the red on the boys shirt. Using a dark brown color layer and blending with red I was able to achieve a decent effect

I decided to do a little touch up on one of the pictures I took down at the Amgen Tour finish. Spent about an hour masking in Photoshop with my Wacom tablet. I applied a motion blur effect to the bakcground as an added touch. Didn’t turn out too bad
