So Nike and Apple have teamed up for what is possibly one of the coolest ideas for personal training. The Nike+ kit allows your Nike+ shoe to talk to your iPod nano. The sensor wirelessly transfers this data to the receiver on your iPod nano. I’ve used it for a few runs at the gym and the device is great. With Itunes it syncs all your workout information to http://nikeplus.nike.com. There you can set goals, participate in challenges or just monitor what you’ve done so far. I took it a little further and found a Wordpress plugin that uses the Nike API to grab my run informations. You should see most of my runs off to the right. I’ll need to mess around with the code when I have some time to display my personal goals.

I figured I would start my holiday shopping today so I went out bright and early this morning to get gifts for some kids over at the Child Development Center (CDC) in San Luis Obispo. Our company every year does a toy drive for their program. I volunteered to get gifts for 4 boys ranging from 4-8 years old. I got some cool toys at the local Walmart. I spent about $60. I cruised over to Best Buy just because I was bored and saw that the TV that I purchased a month ago was down $200. WTF! So I drive home grab my receipt and low and behold they refunded me the difference. What to buy with my newfound fortune? Dammit! More Christmas gifts for other peeps

I added a new addition to the family today If I wasn’t lazy enough already, now I have extra reason to be. I consider it watchable art. Damn impulse purchases. They shouldn’t have put a Best Buy right down the street from me. Anyways I get my HDTV from Charter tommorrow. They will probably mess up my service like they always do. I’ll let my roommate Danny bitch them out. He’s good at complaining.
